My mom celebrated her 65th birthday last weekend and, as a special surprise, each of the grandkids presented her with a garden stone featuring his/her handprint. She LOVED it! I know these stones will be cherished keepsakes she can admire in her garden for many years to come!

Just to be clear, I am definitely NOT the one with the green thumb in our family, that would be my husband, but that doesn’t stop me from trying! I really love this time of year (minus the crazy snow days…) when the trees and flowers are in bloom, and everything just seems to come back to life overnight. My husband and I spend a lot of time in our yard and M and B really enjoy being outside as well.

Every Mother’s Day I try to give my mom a little note that expresses how much she means to me, accompanied with a pot of flowers. This year, in addition to my usual gift, I thought it would be fun to create an edible bouquet from the boys, and some memory stones for her garden.
