Last night, as my bugs nestled into the couch preparing to watch The Polar Express, I went into the kitchen to make us some popcorn; but rather than making plain, ordinary popcorn, I decided to surprise the boys with Polar Express Hot Chocolate Popcorn. And yes, it tastes every bit as delicious as it sounds!

A few days ago I create a Halloween sensory bin for my bugs using playdough as the star component. I followed the playdough recipe from here, and added some orange and mint scent to the orange and green playdough for an extra sensory element. I really like the texture this playdough recipe produces, and it lasts quite a long time if you keep it in an airtight container. I like to wrap mine in plastic wrap and then seal it inside of a ziplock bag.

Both of my bugs are REALLY into superheroes right now. M’s favourite superhero is Captain America, while B’s is the Hulk. My boys race around, in character, for a good chunk of the day, pretending to fight bad guys and smash stuff. Let’s just say my days are not boring… or quiet (*sigh*). Although it can be a bit overwhelming trying to reel them in when they are pretending to swing from spiderwebs while shopping at Costco, I can’t help but smile at their care-free, imaginative play.
