DIY Lava Lamps
These lava lamps make for a retro and SUPER easy science experiment. This is all you need to make them at home:
Jar of water, 1/3 cup vegetable oil, kosher salt, food colouringFill a jar with water, then add a few drops of food colouring:
Add 1/3 of a cup of vegetable oil to each jar
Then add some salt and watch what happens!
The oil and salt form globules that sink to the bottom of the jar. As the salt dissolves, the oil floats back up to the surface.
This is something we will definitely be trying again!
