My boys really enjoy helping out in the kitchen, especially when we’re baking muffins. They are fascinated with cracking eggs, and I can always count on them to help dump in the pre-measured ingredients, use the mixer, and (of course) lick the batter off the beaters afterwards ;).

This recipe for pumpkin spice muffins is really simple to make, which makes it a perfect recipe for little helpers. If you like pumpkin pie, then these muffins won’t disappoint! They’re moist, sweet, and loaded with pumpkin spice flavour, making them a delicious fall treat.

Ingredients:

Pumpkin Spice Muffins

1 spice cake mix
1 can pure pumpkin purée
1/2 cup apple sauce
1 egg
mini chocolate chips and butterscotch chips (use as much or as little as you like)

Making Pumpkin Spice Muffins:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°. Mix all of the above ingredients together in a medium sized bowl.
