You’ve just collapsed your weary body onto the couch, snuggled yourself  up in a warm blanket, and are casually reaching for the remote, your wine, or perhaps a good book, when you suddenly remember….YOU. FORGOT. TO. MOVE. THE. ELF. This has been happening more often to me lately, especially this past week. Sometimes I come up with something fun or mischievous for the kids to catch Bob (our elf) doing, while other times I’m lucky to have moved him to a new location without getting caught!

Elf on the Shelf (Another 2 Weeks with Bob)!

Another 2 weeks has passed and Bob, our Elf on the Shelf, has been busy causing mischief and bringing smiles to my bugs’ faces! Each morning, M and B are so excited to see what Bob has been up to while they’ve been sleeping. I am actually quite surprised with how observant B is for a one-year-old. When he spots Bob he gets a HUGE grin on his face and starts pointing emphatically at him. It’s so cute! And when M wakes up the first words out of his mouth are, “what’s Bob up to mommy?” I’m really glad we started this tradition. It’s been a lot of fun! Meeting Bob, our Elf on the Shelf!

Breakfast at our house this morning was anything but ordinary, thanks to our little surprise guest! This is the first year we have introduced Elf on the Shelf to M and little B, and his arrival was a big hit (well, for M at least). M decided to name him Bob; Not Buddy, or Sparkles, or Elvin, just Bob. So Bob showed up for breakfast bearing gifts of powdered doughnuts and fruit, and lots of hand-cut paper snowflakes!
